Newest Update

Journal entry by Lisa Schesso

It's been a couple weeks since I've updated and I'm sorry for the delay. There has just been a lot of unknowns with when and what was going to be happening with mom. Mom is on week 4 of being hospitalized. She has had some setbacks but is now getting stronger and on the right track to come home. After having her surgery for the ulcer rupturing it took a little while for her body to heal and get stronger again. Her drains from that surgery have been removed, she is able to get up and out of bed, take small walks and is making a great transition back to some solid foods. She had a minor setback that delayed her coming home with an infection in her chest and abdomen, they had it cultured and now she is improving. With that being said if all continues to go well today and no more setbacks, then mom will be coming home tomorrow. This is the best news we could ask for so she can spend her time with the ones she loves. We plan on spending Mothers Day with her so she can see the boys. Her grandsons mean the world to her, they can't wait to see their grandma again. It's prayers answered that she will be home Sunday to spend it with us! We don't know how much time she has so keep saying the prayers that she can live out the rest of her days peacefully. Mom will be entering hospice so she can spend her days out of the hospital and have all her care done at home. Cherish your time with your loved ones, give them an extra hug and I love you!
