I was surprised & saddened to hear that Donna has passed. I never got a chance to meet her but did take some of her classes & I think I have most of her templates. She was so very creative and touched many lives with her knowledge and ability to explain what she was doing. My heart goes out to Donna's family for their loss. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her, whether in person or on video. She had so much more to do!

I’m saddened by Donna’s untimely passing. She had one of the most interesting businesses I’ve ever seen! She will never be replaced but I hope someone can do something appropriate to honor her dedication and innovation in the field. As for how I understand she passed, for sure that would be my wish—Finish a Zoom meeting, stand up, and check out. In great respect to Donna, she figured out how to do everything efficiently!!

Love to Shelli, my dear friend. You are surrounded by love and Angels. Louise

Condolences to you and your family. I was so saddened and shocked to learn of her passing. I only knew her thru her video, but I could see she was an amazing person, so much talent. Her teaching got me thru covid and I learned so much from her. She will truly be missed.

I was shocked and saddened by the news of the passing of your mom. She was a wonderful lady. I had contacted her originally about a class but then I lost my brother, 30 days later my mom and within 11 months of my brothers passing, my husband passed away. Donna would call once in a while to check on me. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your dad and hope that he is well too. Thoughts and prayers are with you and the family as I know this wonderful, sweet and dear person will certainly be missed by so many. God definitely got another angel when he received your Mom with open arms.

I am still so saddened and shocked that one of my favorite educator has passed. I started watching Donna during Covid and changed me forever. I had a few rulers/templates but hadn't used them much. Once I started watching Donna, my rulers came out and my inventory grew immensely. I have almost all of the DMQ templates and many Sew Steady templates. I remember my first conversation with Donna. I had taken a class thru the SS University and I had made a comment that I was disappointed in the class because I thought there would be a video of her using the template. There was a video, but no demonstration of the template. Donna called me and we talked for a while. She was so caring about our conversation and called me again the next day to set up a face time session with me so she could demo the template. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. I have taken many of her classes and watched her whenever possible. My favorite class was the Dream Big Panel. That class was amazing and I learned sooo much and once again she inspired me to be more creative in designing. She was an excellent educator, so kind and caring, very creative and she seemed to always go beyond to make sure we had questions answered or any help we need. I always wanted to meet her in person. I considered her a very dear, virtual, friend. I will miss our conversations, texts and classes, but mostly I miss her. I am so glad that she did not suffer. My sympathies to Donna's family. My heart breaks for you all. I am sure that she will watching over you all from Heaven. I feel blessed to have known Donna. She will always be in my heart ~ Connie from Charlotte, Michigan

I’m sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. She has always presented herself with such great grace and humor. As a teacher, Donna was very generous with her time and dedication to making sure everyone understood how to do things. I have taken many classes from Donna. She was always a joy. I always left feeling a bit more confident than when I started.

To Shelli and Donna's other family - it was very saddened to hear of Donna's sudden passing. I only know her through watching her quilting tutorial videos. She seemed a caring and friendly person and was definitely a great teacher - clearly passionately involved in her sewing, quilting and teaching. She will be a great loss to the quilting world...and of course to her family and friends. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.
