It is truly difficult to put into words what your support, prayers and caring have meant to me. It wasn't until my feeding tube was removed (a one-second jerk and pull) that I realized how fortunate I was. I even received a fist bump from the doctor and a note of congratulations. I later discovered that the rate of survival for Covid-19 intubated patients is 20%. WOW! You are the reason I survived. Although it will probably be another few months before I feel closer to my former self, it is worth that uphill climb.
Sending bigs hugs and fist bumps to all of you.
So glad your mom is doing well. I hope to get back to OBX In late February. My husband had hip surgery here in our other home in Ohio. It's time for your to take care of that Foot. Thank you for keeping us all informed.
Thank you Dara for the update. Her recovery has been nothing short of a miracle. She will soon be totally back to her old self. I'm not surprised she is walking without the walker and cooking gourmet meals again. Your Mom is so lucky to have you and Dane. She is a very special lady, and I think you are the same. Hope your foot is better soon.
So happy to hear that Donna is doing so well. You and Terry and have been amazing during the whole time. It is a inspiring journey that you have shared.
