Dear Finnegan's, I posted a lil on FB. Caring Bridge is so precious. I truly don't make the time for it I could. My heart somewhat understands what losing someone close to you is like - but not a husband or father. All I can share with you is the recurring encouragement Don left with me. While in ministry, trying to reach dads in unexpected pregnancy Don took a chance on me. He could have invested with anyone more educated, more credible, you name it. Still, he felt that God was doing a work through Heidi and me reaching Daddy's. I will never forget the lunches we had over and over where in his busy work schedule he'd fit me in to hear how things were going, where he could help. Linabelle your husband and girls your daddy made my work easier by giving me a boost of encouragement, a word of advice and counsel on what I was doing. I will never forget his impact on my heart and mind. It will be so good for me and Don to greet the fathers we have impacted in Heaven when that day comes. Thank you for sharing Don with me and my family. I love you all. Kurt

I have always said “that Don Finnegan is one of the nicest people I know, you ALWAYS feel better having been in his presence.” Gary, Kimberley & I want you all to know how grateful we are for Don’s love of our late son Troy McVey. All the Finnegan’s treated Troy very well but Don opened his home and heart to Troy. We are all richly blessed by knowing Don. And you all have so many cherished memories! You will be in my continuing prayers. Linda McVey

Linabelle....my heart goes out to you and the girls!! Crying tears for your loss, I am so deeply saddened....but also knowing there is rejoicing that Don is now healed and healthy in the arms of our Savior! Linabelle, as I have followed your journals these most difficult past several weeks....your faith and passion for the Lord are truly an inspiration. You have been blessed with a wonderful, devoted, loving and Godly husband! And Don was so blessed with an incredibly strong, amazing, loving and Godly wife in YOU, during his time on this earth! Not to mention your four amazing daughters who have brought so much joy! We are amazed at God’s blessings and provisions, especially during the most difficult times. And I know He provides so much comfort for you now, as you grieve. Jon and I are so deeply saddened, and we are keeping you and the girls in our prayers! Sending much love your way! ❤️

Lina we learned of Don's death yesterday while at the Safari Park in San Diego. We sat at a table and I cried. Mixed tears of sadness for the loss of a great man, husband and father, and tears of gratitude that he no longer will experience earthly pain. As I looked at the cooling misters, it was a great reminder like you said in your post that our life here is so short relative to the eternal freedom we will experience when we are with the LORD. Prayers for your family; for peace, comfort and encouragement, and that God will hold you tight in his loving arms. Love to you all my former roomie!

A powerful song and message of truth, hope, and faith. We love you Linabelle, and your beautiful family of faith. Yes Don has heard well done, and his greatest ministry I see was to you and the girls. When we look at your family, we see a household of faith and love for our Lord. Our prayers for you will not stop, we pray for comfort, peace, and joy. We love you ❤️.
