Donald’s Story

Site created on September 28, 2018

My dad fractured his arm taking off a tee shirt this summer while we were in Maine. That was not a good sign. We eventually discovered that the fracture was caused by a tumor in his right forearm. He was diagnosed with angio sarcoma, a type of bone cancer, in September. He is now undergoing palliative care.

My dad was a veteran, a  firefighter in his younger days, and lover of animals, especially dogs. So many pets have been displaced due to the California wild-fires. We think, that in lieu of flowers, he would like to help rescue animals.
