Donald’s Story

Site created on December 9, 2021

We have known for a while that Dad has Bi-Ventricular Heart Failure, and as time goes on it will progress.  Recently  Dad has begun to feel a bit more short of breath and colder than in the past.   On December 1st, Dad, Mom, and I went for Dad's regular scheduled visit to his Cardiologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.  We were all a bit shocked to learn that his Heart Failure had progressed and there are now signs of some mild kidney and liver failure.  This is a sign that he has progressed into end-stage Heart failure. Currently, dad is feeling good, all things considered.
I will be updating this site regularly, and also if there are any changes to his condition.  Dad keeps assuring us that he plans to be sitting on the deck this summer talking with friends and family, and of course, enjoying his favorite Swisher Cigars and a great glass of wine!!
