Donald (Donnie)’s Story

Site created on March 4, 2019

Hi there everyone! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy days to follow my dad's Caring Bridge site. I started this site in order to keep everyone informed on what is going on with him and how he is doing along the way. There are so many people that need to be kept up-to-date that I am getting a little overwhelmed at trying to keep up with everything. Right now is kind of a difficult time so sharing the information on this journal will be a great way for family and friends of my dad to see what is going on even when I cannot personally get in contact with them. Of course you can feel free to give me a call or a text message to get an update as well, I just ask that you be patient with me in getting back to you. Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers I appreciate it and I know my dad does too!

Surgery went well and is finished! He wasn’t even in surgery for the full half hour. They did have to leave some staples in his leg and will remove them at the next bandage change. The good news is he shouldn’t have to go down to the OR for another change, they should be able to do it in his room! 🤞 The nurse is taking some orders off so that he can order his dinner and can eat! That’s all I have for now but if I get anymore updates or anything comes up I will let you know!
