So many people have reached out to offer assistance and we are truly grateful.  A food sign-up can be found here: Meal Train for Albrights (https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/k5zdev), and no other donations are necessary for the time being!  We are THANKFUL for each of you!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Brandon Albright

Greetings prayer warriors and beloved children of the Almighty GOD!

Hope this update finds everybody doing well and as Chazz Reinhold (Will Ferrell) says, living the dream.  Quick update:

Yesterday had the stent successfully removed from my main bile duct.  Apparently “sludge” that had developed around the stent was the cause of the infection that resulted in my fever of near 104 degrees that got me to the hospital on Sunday afternoon. I have been on a regimen of “heavy duty” antibiotics since Saturday night to treat the infection.  Thought that they would discharge me and send me home maybe as early as today with oral antibiotics. But in the words of Lee Corso, not so fast my friend.

An infectious disease doctor just came in and told me that in order for them to release me I would have to have a pic line installed and will have to someone from a home health service come by twice a day to administer the antibiotics intravenously for two weeks.  Bummer as I had just joined a geriatric swim team and was going to be training for the senior Olympics .........  think Michael Phelps meets Clint Eastwood.  Just kidding obviously.

Anyway, hope to be released to the wild shortly pic line and all but is sure beats staying in the hospital for two weeks.  The chateaubriand that was served last night for dinner was a little over cooked for my taste and they had the wrong wine pairing!

Onward and upward on the roller coaster ride.  Life is an adventure.  Keep dancing and dreaming !
