Hello Team O'Brien!

I hope that you and yours are doing well in these strange times.

As the family is navigating things, it would be wonderful if we could send some meal love.

I know we had issues previously with the delivery service Caviar so let's avoid using them. They never did re-activate my account.

During this time of COVID, here are the options I'd suggest:
  • Send funds to Julie via Venmo. Her account is @Julie-Bachman-3.
  • If you don't have Venmo, you can send funds to me via PayPal at dianne@paisleyarts.com. Then I will purchase a gift card from GrubHub, another meal delivery service in our area. Please use the "sending to a friend" option so we can avoid PayPal fees. See attached screenshots from PayPal. I'll purchase the card on 6/12. I did verify this can be done with GrubHub. I think the issue with Caviar was too many purchases at the same time. I can purchase a gift card up to 500.00 with GrubHub.
A story about DOB... On our block, there is a small, beautiful church with a predominately African-American community. As neighbors, we have been asking ourselves how we can be the best ally to their community. During our text conversation, Julie shared this story of DOB that made me laugh and cry at the same time...

"David knew and loved that church. They accepted him in and prayed over him when he would show up on a few Sundays. In fact, they accepted him in even initially when he was drawn into the church and joined in as the choir/congregation was singing very loudly and spiritually — only to find out afterward that he had crashed a funeral! Only David could crash a funeral. I’m sure he was clapping and singing very loudly as well."

Thank you so much, everyone.

Please stay safe and be well.

Much love,
Dianne Foster, neighbor across the street from Julie
