If you've come to this page - then you know our sweet Dixie Rucker. Thank you for stopping by & caring about our wonderful Dixie. I'll start off by saying that Dixie has always been a very private person - so, these updates may not be chalk full of every detail - just what we know she'd want to share! 

As you may know, Dixie was diagnosed with a rare degenerative brain disorder - called PSP. It's a condition that causes balance & speech issues. She fell a couple of weeks ago & suffered a brain bleed. Right now, Dixie is at Ken & Susan's home under hospice care being made comfortable (under her specific instructions). She is calm & peaceful. She still flashes her "light up the room" smile every so often. And, she knows she is loved! 

We appreciate all who have reached out for updates & concerns about Dixie. We created this page - so, you can check here for updates & we will update here to keep you informed. Thankful for technology to keep you in the loop, so, we can spend as much time as possible with Dixie.

Hi Friends & Family - we wanted to let you know that Dixie passed away peacefully overnight. 

Dixie's family will receive friends on Thursday (April 11th) from 2pm until 3:30pm at H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs. A Memorial Service celebrating her wonderful life will be held on Friday (April 12th) at 11am at NewBranch Community Church, 3805 Braselton Highway, Buford, GA 30519.

Again, we want to say thank you again to everyone who has reached out with thoughts, prayers & loving support.
