Journal entry by BRIAN OSBORNE —
Howdy friends and family. Sorry for the couple of months with no reports.
Diane went to the oncologist for her three month checkup this week. She got an A+ on all of her tests and general health benchmarks. Her cancer is gone, and her immunity is very close to her pre-chemo levels and improving. All excellent news.
Since I last posted here, Diane had a series of procedures aimed at decreasing pain in her back. If you will recall, the tumor that led to her diagnosis was in and around a vertebrae. The cancer caused a compression fracture, which has healed, but the pain remained. Notice the past tense. Her back is significantly improved and improving. Another box checked!
Now her recovery moves into a much less stressful phase: getting back into shape. Being laid up for 8 months has made her legs pretty wimpy. She has begun walking a lot again, and hitting the Nustep machine at the Y.
Long story short, Diane is a walking talking miracle. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes. Now that she is vaccinated and her immunity is back in the normal range, we will be back on the road, and being able to thank each of you face-to-face.
Talk about blessings to be thankful for! All praise and glory to God!
