Journal entry by Cecilia Glenn —
It's been a month since mom passed and though the tears still occassionally flow, life continues to move ahead. Family is trickling in from out of state for mom's celebration of life service and soon we'll be laughing and crying over old pictures and baking mom's favorite cookies to share with others at the luncheon. And of course there may be a game of Skippo, yahtze or cribbage in the mix too!
Since it's been a while since we first posted the details, we thought it would be helpful to send a reminder. As a family, the question has come up on what to wear. Mom didn't always match, she loved bright colors and liked to be comfortable so we're going to take her lead. Wear whatever makes you comfortable...we aren't a super formal bunch so if you don't feel like wearing a suit or dress...don't. If you do, that's fine too! We'll just be happy to see you there!!
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Monday, September 23, 2019, with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am at Edina Community Lutheran Church 4113 W 54th Street, Edina (952-926-3808). Luncheon to follow. Memorial donations preferred to Park Nicollet/Methodist Hospice Care.
