Very sorry to hear of Diane's passing. I didn't know her very well as I was a co-worker of Wilbur's at the Woodcraft Store. I would hear stories and often sampled some of her treats that she made for the crew. Many blessings to those she leaves behind.

I am one of the many parents at Graham Hill who was forever impacted by Diane. She came to Graham Hill during a really tumultuous time for the school and she healed everyone with her kindness, exuberance, positivity and humor. Walking into the front office and seeing her bright smile and welcoming posture was a balm to the spirit. She loved to brag about her family. We loved hearing stories and seeing pictures of Janine and Marissa. Her laugh was so delightful! Well after my children left Graham Hill, I thought of Diane and missed her more than any one else and thought about stopping by several times to say hi, but never did. (which I regret). I went through breast cancer treatment in the fall of 2020 and Diane and I exchanged a few texts encouraging each other during our respective battles. I am so very saddened that she didn't have longer on this earth. She really was a blessing to all who had the fortune of meeting her. My husband and I planted trees yesterday and I named one of the trees we planted after Diane. I said a prayer and a blessing over the tree and believe it will nourish the earth the same way she did. I will hold you in my heart and my prayers as you mourn your amazing Mom and wife.

What a nicely written obituary on your mom. Every word was true and accurate about her. She truly touched a great deal of people and we all will miss her terribly. She was always positive no matter what situation came up. Good at solving problems and good at looking at the bright side of things. Her laugh was contagious and always took you out of whatever bad/stressful mood you were in. My heart goes out to you Wilbur, Janine, Marissa and Marni. "God understands and He knows our circumstances. Hold on tight to faith as the story unfolds. Allow God to guide you in His plan even when you don't understand what paths God has in store for you. He loves you and you can always trust Him." Love you all!

Thank you for taking the time to write these beautiful and difficult words. I worked with Diane at Graham Hill and the line about her being a work momma really resonated. She exuded positivity in a way that brought everyone joy, while simultaneously being sharp and talented enough to handle dozens of situations at once with grace. I will always be grateful for her guidance and friendship.

My deepest condolences to you all. What a beautifully written obituary, Janine. You truly honored her spirit. I especially appreciated her wanting to become a pearl. I love that! Pearls have a warm beauty like your mom. I’ll think of her every time I see a pearl. God bless her!
