Diana’s Story

Site created on July 29, 2019

On behalf of our family, I want to thank you for visiting our website for my mom, Diana Zannella. On June 2nd my mom was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL). Since her diagnosis, she has been admitted to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Cayuga Medical Center where she underwent weeks of personal care and treatment. Currently, she has just completed her third round of R-Chop Chemotherapy and is now at home.

The out pour of love and support has been extremely warming during this very difficult time for our family. We have created this site for a number of reasons. First, we want to help keep friends and family up to speed with my mom's health. Secondly, we have also created this website in response to love ones trying to reach out and help.

Please be patient with us as we are learning how to properly utilize the features included in this website. In the meantime, we hope this website is informative and beneficial. Thank you again for thinking of my mom and taking the time to visit our site.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Mike Zannella

As of today Diana has completed her 6th round of chemotherapy. From the results of her most recent tests, doctors are confident that the chemotherapy has been successful in eating away at the cancer.

Although we are very optimistic about what the future holds, we understand there is still a long road to recovery. She is scheduled for another round of testing in 2 months where we will know just how successful the treatment was.

At this point we are extremely humbled and lucky to have the support from friends and family that we have been receiving. Without your support we know for a fact that we would have had no chance at making it through the past 10 months and that my mom would not be here today. From the bottom of our hearts thank you, thank you, thank you.

We are working to thank each of you individually for your support. Thank you for your patience as we have a very long list of incredible people to work through.

Thank you.
