Dr Aljadir went over the PET scan results with us!  It looks good. He’s a direct and to the point kind of man. The rumor is definitely shrinking.  It is less in size but the main thing is it is not lighting up on the PET scan, which is great news.  This means that we don’t have to increase the amount of chemo!  Also, Derek gets to drop the B medication (Bleomycin) out of his chemo ABVD.. He also gets to drop the Pulmonary Functions Test unless he has difficulty breathing. 

The game plan now has shifted to 8 treatments (counting today) without Bleomycin.  Now he’s only taking AVD chemo.  He also gets to only come once a week for labs instead of twice.  Instead of coming 9 times a month, he gets to only grace the Cancer Institute with his presence 4 times a month.
