Beautiful, blessed service with incredible, memorable and spot-on tributes for an amazing person. Thank you for both the live stream and the recording of the service. I found myself watching and listening more than once, to how much Denny impacted so so many. I, like so many, had the chance to meet Denny and wasn't able to accept an opportunity to serve with him and several YL staff on the board back in the day. I remember so vividly being frustrated with the situation that I allowed to keep me from that call, and was often left wondering how God might use that decision still, in calling me now, to serve on his great mission to know Him. Denny was so gracious, inviting, understanding and supportive. He was encouraging and nudged while also leaving enough room to make and own decisions for ourselves. Being a more distant Denny-fan from afar, I feel a little presumptuous writing here, but Denny, Bruce H, Mike G, Earl, UPC, are all people and a place that Jesus blessed me with over several years. At this time of sorrow and grief, I want to thank the Ryberg family for role modeling "love your neighbor", "meeting everyone where they are, and leading/loving them to know Jesus", and being authentic humans every step of the way. I hope I can hang out with Denny someday, in eternity since I wasn't able to as much I'd have liked, here on earth. Even in his passing, Denny is impacting so many lives. Thank you so very much. :)

Dear Marilyn and family,
Thank you so much for allowing us to share in Denny's memorial service! It meant so much to us as we were not able to come on Thursday, May 30th. What a wonderful tribute to his legacy for all time. He truly was a servant of the Lord and will inspire us through the years as we continue to minister to kids through Young Life. May he rest in peace forever with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and receive the crowns stored up for him in heaven. He will be missed by all of us who knew him. We will continue to pray for all of you for God's peace that surpasses all understanding to fill your hearts and souls until you meet him once again in glory!
Our love,
Vern and Elaine Lovelace

I was so grateful to watch the service from home in Wichita, Kansas. What a beautiful tribute to a hero of our mission and cherished mentor and friend to my husband Chad. Denny has impacted so many of us in ways we will never forget. Our love and prayers are with you.
