Delia’s Story

Site created on June 13, 2021

Welcome to Delia's CaringBridge site. As you know, Delia was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, it was caught early and is completely treatable. She will have her first surgery July 7, then if chemotherapy is required, it’ll last anywhere from 3 to 6 months. A second surgery will follow, with or without chemo.

She has a wonderful team of physicians/nurses who will be monitoring and adjusting her care along the way. We started this site to give her loved ones a place to go for updates on her care and progress over the next few months, so she doesn’t have to do it while she’s focused on her recovery. We will also be updating the site with ways that anyone who is interested can provide prayer and practical support for Delia and her kids as she recuperates.

Also, please feel free to leave a message, prayer, and/or word of encouragement on the “Well Wishes” tab for Delia. She will have access to them and will definitely appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

Thank you for visiting and for loving our friend so well,

Rachel Krull and Leida Pickett

All - good news and THANK YOU for the prayer!

The bone scan I had on Monday was actually a bone density scan which came back with great results!! I would like to report that I have the bone composition of a young adult!!! While the purpose was to scan for bone density, any tumors would have also been identified and NONE were found.  While only my lower spine and left leg were scanned (again - bone density), I have no reason to think that any new tumors exist anywhere else so I will consider this great news and stop there.

There is a slight (currently 7K and growing) issue with an expensive drug between the hospital,  pharmaceutical company and my insurance but I'm not too worried yet.  Please pray that this too get resolved.

thank you! thank you! thank you!
