Dee’s Story

Welcome to my CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  As many of you know, I have been treated for Cutaneous and Peripheral TCell Lymphoma for about 3 years. A year ago the stage of this disease progressed from stage 2 to stage 4. After undergoing 6 treatments of hospitalized chemotherapy, I went into remission. That only lasted 4 months. 2018 Thanksgiving weekend, I broke out all over in a red and very itchy and burning rash. Next stop, James Cancer Hospital's ED where I was admitted immediately and a skin biopsy revealed a recurrence. Dang it! I entered a clinical trial to attempt to arrest more abnormal cell growth and remained there until just last month some fast growing tumors appeared in and around my mouth. So, now I'm back in the throes of more chemotherapy and will continue until it's time to prepare for stem cell transplant. Here is where I'll post updates on progress and my emotional well being. Thank you all in advance for your continued support and words of hope and encouragement. With love, Dee XXOO
