February 8th..... The day that changed our life. Now just a short 14 days we will be moving our precious mother to inpatient hospice this evening. She isn't offering much conversation,we are down to whispers and a few word replies. Her appetite her drastically decreased and movements are all but gone without assistance.
With covid, visiting will be difficult. There are some provisions for visitors but very limited. I know she loves and cares for all of her friends and family!
My take aways from this unthinkable disease is that life is precious, live it, love it, enjoy it and never leave anything unsaid. Concur your fears and tackle life head on! Go after your dreams take time for the small things, take advantage of today because tomorrow is never promised! My wise 14 year old daughter told me a few days ago, "people say you only live once", "but in all honesty we live every day, we only die once".
We really do appreciate all the heartfelt messages and well wishes. The stories are amazing and we love to hear them! I wish more than anything my news to share was different. Deb isn't in any pain and for that I am grateful. Please keep my family in your prayers 🙏, I continue to remind my mother to keep her faith and continue to follow our lord and savior.
Deuteronomy 31:6,8: “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble…, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you…. And the Lord is the one who goes ahead of you…. Do not fear, or be dismayed.”
