Debby recently was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer.    Her Oncologist, Dr Lo, put her on a chemo regimen that will run once every 3 weeks for 18 weeks.  He is very confident that this cancer is going to be cured.  While she expected a tough year, this current situation is truly not explainable.
She went in for her first treatment a few weeks ago and all went well.  The normal fatigue and some minor discomfort occured, but she returned to work as normal.  She went for her visit with her doctors and they ran tests which showed excellent progress and improvement in the cancer.   She was told it was shrinking and doing well.  In that visit Debby told the doctor of her symptoms and they felt they were normal side affects.  A few days later at work Debby was not feeling well, yet continued to work as normal and hard as ever plowing through her discomforts.  She said it must be side affects from the chemo and maybe a cold.  On Saturday January 19th late evening into sunday morning she asked Brian to take her to the hospital.  When she arrived @St Vinvent's hospital she was have some breathing problems clearly was fighting something.  The nurses at the hospital quickly transferred her to the ICU to treat her for Sepsis as her immune system was comprised.    She was sedated and put on heavy antibiotics and a ventilator.    Her organs shut down and it was not looking good.

The doctors said they wanted to perform surgery and see if they could remove the infected organs, but she was not well enough.   It was clearly a negative outcome and we were all in total shock.  However a few days later, she began to show some progress, with help of dialysis she is continuing to fight.  She has been stable for while now and hopeful that because she made it through this week, she will continue to improve and fight this infection.  She is still quite ill, but has been steadily stable.    The doctor said the first part of the week is a small miracle and now we need the big miracle for her to kick this infection.

Please pray for Debby, Brian and their two daughters Kayla and Morgan.   Her sister Dawn, her Mother Donna and the extended family and friends have all been standing by praying to cope with his terrible tragedy.   Please continue to pray and provide any support you can...

Journal entry by Dominick Bria

Debby is still in ICU with no major difference and is holding Stable.  After her stroke she had a few days of dropped heart rate, but they put a temporary pacemaker in last week and that hasn't happened again.   Since then she is sleeping and resting her brain alot in the hope it will heal.  The road has been a long road and alot more to come, she is a fighter!  We are all praying that she continues to improve every day.   Extra prayers needed!  If anyone wants to do anything special for Brian and the Girls, please send something to the GoFundme linked on this page!  Thank you for everyone's support.
