Deborah (Deb)’s Story

Site created on November 27, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Deb celebrated her birthday on Saturday, the 24th.  She had abdominal pain for about a month.  It started as a cold and coughing.  We thought it was just the cough that was causing the pain.  We were to her family doctor a week ago and found that she had a bladder infection.  We went home with antibiotics and told to come back if the pain didn't get better or it got worse.
We went back to the doctor yesterday, Monday the 26th of November and they sent us to the emergency room so tests could be done.  They did a CT scan and found a mass in Deb's abdomen.  They made arrangements for us to go to Regions Hospital, St. Paul.  We arrived about 9:15pm and they made Deb comfortable.
This morning, they did a biopsy.  The results will be back early tomorrow (Wednesday 28 Nov.).  We are all gathering tomorrow afternoon to explore our options and put together a plan of care.
