Deb’s Story

Site created on October 10, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  It's difficult right now to keep up with Facebook messages, texts, calls, etc.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement, but keeping it in one place is more manageable at this time. If you would like to leave messages or comments, you will need to become a member of CaringBridge.  There is no cost involved.  Thank you for visiting.

Newest Update

Journal entry by James Wagner

Update on Deb. Sorry, we know it's been a while. At Deb's last treatment in February, the doctors wanted to give her 8 weeks off of chemo after completing her 26 treatments. Unfortunately when we went back in April to start her next 2 years of chemo treatments, her WBC was a 1, so therefore no treatment. The Doctors explained that they would give Deb another 8 weeks to see if her body would start to recover. If not, they would not continue treatment. The waiting game and the unknown have been tough but on June 10, Deb's blood counts were up just enough to start treatments. Chemo will be every 8 weeks for the next 2 years. We want to thank everybody for all the prayers, love, and support. We wouldn't be making it through this journey without them. Please know everyone is in our prayers and God knows what each and every one of you need. Love, hugs, and prayers, Deb and Jim.
