Dear Debby, It seems like so long ago when I stopped to see you and say goodbye as I was leaving on my extended road trip to visit various family. Departure was on Jan 22. All went well through Maryland, Tenn., Alabama and Florida. Then came the middle of March and the realization that plans would change. Daughter, Susan flew down and together we drove the family van with 3 great grand sons north to Franklin, Pa. Left my car in Florida thinking surely by Easter we would be making a swap as Jess and Paul would drive north to retrieve boys and I would have my own vehicle to drive home. Well, this has not happened. Jess is a critical care nurse manager and is on the front line caring for virus related patients. Her unit has doubled and still may go higher. We have no idea when the slack will occur and it will be safe to have her boys back home. Her hubby is a teacher doing this from home. Boys are getting their lessons by cyber. Interestingly, it takes 3 adults to assist this effort. Susan has become the principal, John handles the very advanced kindergartner and also handles PE. I do all round support, mostly reading and yoga type exercise. Jessica is very hopeful that she can be here for James birthday on May 10. Prayerfully boys will be able to return home with her at that time. And I, too, may be able to get back to my home.
I am so impressed with how wel, you are managing on your home front. Your journey has been so very unique. May God give you the strength and wisdom to carry on. Hope to visit again soon. Much caring love, Ellie.
