Dear Tina, you are a lisving testimony of her love and it shines through you. Though out the many times I saw Debbie at church and at Dekalb Schools she always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. Your family will continued to be lifted up in prayer.

Hard to find the words. Debbie was constantly in our prayers, and I just cried out when I read your Facebook post about her passing. She fought hard, and y’all were right in the thick of it with her. We are praying for y’all as you get through the days without her physical presence. But oh, the many wonderful memories and stories to tell! She was a dear, and shared light and life everywhere she went! Love y’all!

Tina, your Dad, and all your family, I continue to pray with you as you live into each new day. I think “normal” is living each day one day at a time with gratitude that the Divine, Holy One loves us always and surrounds us with love along with recognizing our grieving and broken hearts. I will always be grateful that Debbie blessed my life in so many ways when I was at Athens First UMC. Sending all of you much love, and praying that the peace of the risen Christ continues to surround you—love one another as you remember all the love she gave each one of you. May her memory be a blessing.

Tina - I am a member of Tucker First UMC and remember Debbie so well! Always full of energy and she brought such life to all the dinner theaters that the church had. I am so glad you have all those happy memories to keep in your heart. Always remember that she said she loved you (I went thru a similar thing in March with my best friend and will always remember those three words she said to me the last time I saw her). Prayers are with you, your dad and your kids. Donna Powell

What an incredibly beautiful testimony. You, and the entire family, have been a blessing to her as she traveled this difficult road. This holiday, and the rest to come, will be hard and a little less for her absence, but she will truly be there with you all in your hearts and memories.
