I worked with Debbie in Sasca Mica, Romania, in the autumn of 1991. We exchanged a couple letters after I returned to the USA, and I last spoke with Debbie just after I married in 1996. We were both born in 1965, and both Christians. Debbie came to mind recently and I decided to search for her on-line. I was greatly saddened when I discovered Debbie’s obituary! She was such a joy to know and to work alongside. Debbie often spoke of her parents, her upbringing on the reservation (in New Mexico?) and siblings. Someday I will pass through Colorado Springs and stop to see the beautiful headstone at Fairview Cemetery. Thank you Ward French for raising a beautiful daughter who was an inspiration to me and the other volunteers in Romania. Those were difficult, often frustrating days! Best wishes to Scott, Silas, Solomon, Laurel-Anne, Phinehas, and Emma, from Julie (Traeger) Julian, husband Brendan and daughter Alice in Richmond, Virginia.

This is so beautiful - especially with the rainbow....wow. I honestly can't believe it's already been almost a year. Big hugs to you and all who love Debbie. I often wonder how the children are doing and pray they are well...
Big Blessings,

Sarah Cranston
