Debbie’s Story

Site created on May 15, 2019

Hey everyone!  Thanks for checking in to see how Debbie is doing during her journey .  We have created this page in honor of an amazing woman, a best friend, a mother, a sister, and a daughter.

On March 6th, 2019 Debbie was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer: peritoneal carcinoma. From day one, she has taken on this battle with strength and the most positive attitude one can have. Her will to live, commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and fight to beat this makes her a true warrior.  Debbie endured 8 straight weeks of chemotherapy with her motto "Chemo in, Cancer out!,"  and after that she had a full hysterectomy and exploratory surgery to remove as much of the cancer as they could.  Once her 6 week recovery is complete, she will need another 9 weeks of chemotherapy.

With all of her hard work and support of family and friends, we have no doubt that she'll beat this! We appreciate everyone's love, prayers, and support and we've created a GoFundMe to help offset her medical expenses.   https://www.gofundme.com/2765s6-help-debbie-fight-cancer

Thank you all!

Happy Saturday everyone. Day 3 after surgery. Legs and feet are swollen so she needs to keep elevated. Progressing quite well. 😀
