Our thoughts are with you all. While we only know Dean through his work as a realtor, it feels safe to call him Friend. He is a fantastic human, and though we never met Jocelyn, he spoke of her with such love and admiration and we were looking forward to meeting.
How many Realtors take the time to personalize a holiday card and add a drawing from an inside joke (BMWs with baby gates)? Only one. ❤️
We are forever connected through our dream mountain home, with the ups and downs (we lost my brother in law and Dean lost a parent during that time) and Dean's steadfast calmness.
With Love,

Amanda (and Jon) Liimatainen

I’m praying for the peace that passes all understanding to surround Dean and his family. May God hold you in His loving arms. Dean was my manager at Kelloggs and was such an inspiration. He always asked “how can I help?” He found many ways to accomplish what needed to be done. He was so proud of his children and loved his family so much. Jocelyn was so important to him and he wanted her to have the best he could give her. He is a man of strong faith that will see him through this difficult journey. I will continue to lift you up in prayer , miracles never cease.

Jocelyn,
Thank you for this post. I read it with a bit of sadness but also with quite a bit of warmth. Your love for Dean is inspiring. The trust that you had and his true commitment to you is what defines true love. Nothing can take that from you, not even cancer. This is a terrible journey for you and your family but I believe that the love you showed for each other will be carried over to the love for your whole family. I am sending hugs and prayers from a far but know that we think of you often. We will see you soon!

We are heartbroken with you Jocelyn. Thank you for sharing the love story you and Dean share and that will never end. I knew fun and kind Dean in high school and it has been lovely following your beautiful family on FB. I could see your love and also how hardworking Dean has always been. I hope he (and you and the kids) feel all the love being poured over you from all of us. Praying for Dean and the whole family.

Jocelyn, what a beautiful portrayal of Dean. He is an amazing man. The years I spent working for him at Kellogg’s were the most impressionable years of my career and he was the leader I needed to guide me in the right direction. I distinctly remember how supportive and caring he was when I lost my dad to cancer in 2012. He always encouraged me to take more time off and spent all the time I could with my dad while he was still here and I will forever be grateful for that support and compassion. I remember his words telling me “work will still be here when you get back”. It breaks my heart to know the struggles he’s encountering and I just hope that you and the girls are finding some sort of peace knowing you were blessed with such a great man in your lives. Praying for your comfort❤️
