Thank you for making sure that his passing was as he would have wished. It must have been so hard for you. I also have a daughter called Emily, and I hope she will never have to go through what you have just been through. David was one of a kind - one of the few human beings I ever met who never had an unkind word to say about anyone, ever. My wife and I are new on the ranch, and he was very kind to us. He even fetched our barbecue from the USA, as we could not go there to get it (borders are closed to Canadians). I think of him every night when I fire up the BBQ. Cannot believe we will not see his smiling face again. I want you to know that your dad was thoroughly enjoying life right up to just a couple of weeks ago. He was at the Aquafit class early every morning until they closed the pool again, just a few weeks ago. He shared photos of the natural world here, that he loved so much. He loved life and people right up to the end. I am sure you know this already, but I will say it anyway - you can be very proud that he was your dad. There are many shocked and very sad people on the ranch right now.

David’s love of life will live on through those he touched so deeply. I’m grateful to have been his friend. Heaven is certainly more colorful now!

Emily, It is with heartfelt sadness that we learned of David’s passing this morning. I worked with him in both Dubai and Syria. Kay & I have fond memories of a very young you and your family in Dubai. We last saw David in August of 2018 when he came to visit us in Parker, CO. We will forever cherish our time with him and sorrowful that we will not have the opportunity to see him again.

I am so sorry. I am his cousin and I didn't get to see his side of the family but a few times. He and I became friends on Facebook after I met him at my Dad's funeral. He was a ray of sunshine for my Mother and I, especially during this past year. He and I had some lengthy messages back and forth, I would bug him for information about our family and he was very generous with his answers. I understand he will be missed by so many. My love and prayers to you and your family.
