Journal entry by Jerald Qualley —
Dawn and I made another trip to Mayo yesterday and back again this evening. It was a little bittersweet, though. Her main Dr is retiring in a few days, and Dawn was his last patient visit. Dr Mark Litzow is a very talented and caring Dr and we wish him and his wife a very enjoyable retirement. Dawns tests all came back in the normal range and she continues to improve. Her energy level is the slowest to recover but it is getting better. She received another round of immunizations today and had a few more medicines reduced to 0 and a couple decreased by half. The journey she has been on has been amazing and her recovery is nothing short of a miracle. She is down to 5 pills from 33 pills daily at the highest. A very special Thank You to all of our family and friends, Dr’s, Pastors, Teachers etc who have helped up along the way!! Gods grace and mercy and all of the thoughts and prayers are what kept it all moving in the right direction!! We hope you all had a blessed Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year!!
