Thank you for continuing the journal - such a bittersweet endeavor: the insights, the sharing of the path you & Violet walk upon, hopes for the future, and even a bit of comic relief now and again (I also enjoyed Violet's questions). I agree, that at some point of your choosing, these posts would be a rich resource for others if published. I always wait until I have time to mull over a new post before opening it.

Your church's love abounds! What a beautiful tribute to Dawn . It will be so nice that you are able to go back and visit the site. I love Violet's questions and final response! Prayers continue for you and Violet. May your transition be a smooth one. Looking forward to maybe connecting when I am in Chicago!

What a moving act of kindness by your church! They all loved Dawn and her legacy will continue to bear beautiful fruit in the lives of those who knew her. Thanks for sharing the amazing devotional at the CT Board Meeting. I loved seeing you interact with the staff and board. All of this feels right and good, a blessing from the Lord.

I’m still amazed by your church community....it’s good to know they are there for support and to continue to honor Dawn with that beautiful tree. Sending love to you and Violet and thinking of you often. Love, Lindsey

It's so great to be able to say: "I was there." Actually this was ANOTHER gift from Dawn to us all. Thank you Dear Dawn, you've blessed us all.

Your musings communicate with insight and depth. Helpful. Delightful. Thank you again. You will be a gift to the Christian Community at Christianity Today.
. . . and, do you suppose there might be a chocolate truffle tree that you could plant in Chicagoland? ;)

I am a good friend of Dawn’s, as we were classmates at Gordon-Conwell. I want you to know that I have been thinking of and praying for the three of you since Dawn’s diagnosis. My husband was notified on Facebook and immediately told me. I am so sorry that I did not get in touch with Dawn before she went to be with our Lord. I am not sure if others have already suggested this, but I would encourage you to publish your Caring Bridge entries. I have worked for almost 20 years as a hospital chaplain and I think that your journal entries would bring so much hope and healing to those going through similar situations. Many blessings to you and Violet! In His grip, Meredith Gantt
