Daniel I so appreciate you exploring these deep (and very unpleasant) mysteries with us each day. “God is not safe” is probably one of the hardest concepts to grasp in our pain-avoiding, happy-clappy Christian experience & culture. This kind of pain and suffering is so totally consuming and yet somehow life-giving. To me and many others it is just theoretical and not experienced, which seems unfair, but we are tracking with Dawn, Violet & you throughout the days. And God answers in part by giving you so many faithful friends in close contact. May God greatly bless your trip to his old neighborhood, and give some comfort to Dawn. May it be a pilgrimage preparing you all for all your lives to comes.

So sorry about the puking! I wish I could live even 1 day of it on your behalf and give you a day off, since I know the misery after 6-7 times per day during trimester 1, 3rd pregnancy (IV hydration - yep). I know it's SO hard to withstand. Wish I could do more than empathize. Praying for better times soon.
