Journal entry by Karen Freeling —
Hi,
David was first diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension and COPD about 5 years ago. At first he would carry his portable oxygen with him to work never having to use it during the day. About 2 years since diagnosis he started to have to use his oxygen at low liters of 2 during the nighttime. Now we are on oxygen 24/7 up now to 6 1/2 liters. He has since retired for almost a year now as it’s become more and more difficult for him do much of anything. It’s become very stressful for him to go to doctor appointments or anything else as his energy level is very low. He has been using a scooter to get around for the past few years. I pray that he doesn’t get much worse in the next year or so.
