Journal entry by Kathy Tavitian —
One year ago today, David had his stroke. It still amazes me how life can change so drastically just like that. David and I are feeling a lot of different emotions today - the overriding emotion is gratitude that he survived his massive stroke. I am sure I did not realize at the time how close we came to losing him. However, there are other emotions too, including grief at all the things he used to be able to do that he can't anymore, and all of the things we loved to do together that we can't do anymore. We don't focus on that much anymore, but today has brought up some of those feelings again. I imagine that is normal and part of the healing process. We have been so blessed by all of the love and support we have received over the last year, and we wanted to share a short video with you that we recorded this morning:

We are looking forward to a great year ahead and we thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts!
