Newest Update

Journal entry by Pam Bentley

As they say 'it's been a minute' since we've updated.  And, another familiar phrase 'no news is good news'.

In August 2023, David completed his one year of immunotherapy.  Praise the Lord, there were practically NO side effects!   When he began immunotherapy in August 2022, they began with 1/2 doses the first few months which meant immunotherapy & doctor visits twice a month.  When he tolerated that well, the dosage was increased, and visits were reduced to once a month.  After doing that a while, he kept his monthly immunotherapy treatments, but only had to see the doctor or PA every other visit.  Sounds like a 'little' thing but the office is SO busy.....and whenever time could be saved THAT was a plus!!

David had a scan in early 2023....we were thrilled that it was clean.  In late August David had another scan.    This week the oncologist confirmed that SCAN WAS CLEAN!!  Halleluiah!

We had a little lump in the road.  The recent scan showed a hernia which started 'behaving badly' within days of the scan.     Not wonderful news, but we've already seen a surgeon and surgery is scheduled 10.3.23.    He's feeling ok (as long as he doesn't overdo).

We are so thankful for the good news and hope to close out the hernia chapter smoothly and quickly.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS!
