On Sunday, Dad was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at home from the side effects of COVID. He was admitted into the ICU that night. He’s on oxygen and medication to try and help his breathing, but he isn’t doing well. He is, however, a stubborn man who is a helluva fighter.
On Thursday, our family experienced more heartbreak when my beloved Grandmother (Dad’s mom) passed away 2 days before her 100th birthday. Having to tell my dad while he laid in the hospital was truly the hardest thing I have ever done. But they did allow me to come and see him and tell him in person.
Due to COVID, the hospital will NOT give permission for us to come visit again. We are hoping to be able to speak with and see him over FaceTime that the hospital is setting up. I’ll keep everyone posted.
So please, send him all your best wishes, love, prayers, thoughts…EVERYTHING. Rachel and I will made sure he gets every message. I know it will help get him home where he belongs!
