Our hearts are broken for David & all his family. He fought a good fight! But cancer seemed to have too much of a head start. Rest in Peace David. Taken too soon..only God knows the plan. Thank you Jason for your diligence and caring keeping us informed.

Jason: So many memories of sweet David, you and Adam come to mind beginning nearly 40 years ago. I have thought of you all sitting in our apartment talking of growing up and sharing an apartment together, of the three of you mowing your grandmother’s yard, of all the swimming under your grandfather’s watchful eye, of Adam getting his driver’s license first and the three of you driving up in my car - David riding shotgun and all of you grinning from ear to ear. There was the time when Adam was graduating from high school, and I was making pictures at your house, and all of you were wearing shirts Adam had outgrown as he grew first. There were the happy times on the lake as you all and Adam learned to water ski. Th Once when a murderer was on the run in Montgomery, you all arrived to spend the night to protect me in case he came that way. I can see David whole and healthy and walking those streets of gold. Our hearts are sad for our loss, but we shall see him again, and his pain is gone. My prayers are with you all as Adam’s family as much as I am his family. He always considered you all his brothers. David was best man at his and Kim’s wedding and gave such a sweet toast at the dinner. We were there when he and Andrea were married, and our Emily was three and was enchanted by the bride. And then David came as answered prayer and bought my house and land. I am glad he got to enjoy being I. The country just a little before he got so sick. He fought such a battle. We can rejoice in his heavenly promotion and remember a sweet boy who grew into a wonderful man. Cheryll Sampson

Jason, I can't thank you enough for updates you have provided through Caringbridge....they gave us guidance as we prayed for him and all the family during this horrific journey that David used to show the Light of Jesus that resided in him.
