With heavy hearts, we wanted to share that our dad David passed away just before midnight on Monday, April 5. We shared a magical day and it was not long after he and mom dozed off for a nap comfortably— and excited about the possibility of home —that he quickly, peacefully and mercifully slipped away. He gave us gifts right through his last breath. We were with him and were able to thank him for all he had done for us. Our wish was that he live forever but that was not one of his options. Instead he gave all and fought for every last minute with us. We are honored we get to call him dad. He made it very clear that we are to remind our mother as often as we can how much he loves her and that he will always look out for her. We will be wondering what he’s doing now, imagining how all the reunions are going, and guessing that it might take him a while to get through registration given how he likes to chat people up. We are so grateful for the support and stories shared. ❤️❤️❤️
