David’s Story

Site created on April 14, 2021

After years of having an enlarged left ventricle, David found out he was in advanced heart failure on January 1, 2021 and needed a heart transplant. He was sent home with a Life Vest and Rocket Fuel for the heart. His transplant team at Mayo Hospital put him through all sorts of tests, scans, blood work and appointments. On March 11th he was finally approved for the transplant list.  The day came when his medicines weren't working as well and he was admitted to Mayo on March 23rd to wait on a new heart.  David is still in good spirits and has been doing laps around the floor like he is in the Daytona 500.  I'll update the site once he has his new heart.

David was released from Mayo today. He is feeling great, and already took a walk around the neighborhood.
