David’s Story

Site created on February 18, 2021

Hello all. We have created this website to keep David's family and friends up to date throughout his road to recovery. As many of you know, David was taken into the emergency room on Tuesday afternoon around 1pm with a headache and slurred speech. Following an exam and CT scan, he received emergency brain surgery to stop bleeding in his brain. The surgeon was able to stop the bleeding and to begin his road to recovery. Each hour we see small victories and steps in the right direction. We hold onto those moments. David's parents and family have much appreciated the overwhelming love and support they have received in the past couple days. I will do my best to keep this website updated with all the small victories going forward.

From Mrs. Kotalik:

“Bill , Sam and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all your love, support and prayers❤️ we couldn’t have gotten through this without you! Our miracle son is home and still has a long road to go but we are taking that day by day. We are so thankful for care he received at Columbia St. Mary’s! Everyone in the ER, ICU and 7th floor was amazing!”
