We honor David today and especially the difficult journey of his last year. We also honor you, sweet Jeanne, and the courageous journey you are making your way through.
Jeanne, I was thinking, as I read your beautiful tribute to David, about how when you're close to people for a time in your life, and interact with them on a daily basis like family, then you move away, it's like a little death. David seems still "here" to us, in the same way that you guys were both always "here" in our hearts, as friends, even though we were miles apart and couldn't see or interact with each other in the same way. While that's nothing like losing your forever love, and having him there with you in the flesh, I know you must also feel David is still somehow "here", in a new way... The love you two shared is way too big to be contained - it's obviously so present, in you, and in your family. I bet you are reminded of David' love everywhere you go. Love to you both, my friend. <3
