Kaye and David:
May the road rise up to meet you David.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
The rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of God's hand.
Love to all friends and family.
Gene

Kaye, I was stunned that this came so quickly. Still, I know he was very tired. I had hoped to see him (and you) when I am at Loretto in retreat April 23-24. I will still hope to see you then. Meanwhile, you remain in our hearts and prayers. Take care, friend. Rest deeply, for it has been a hard journey for you both.

Kaye, Kent, Shelly and family ,
Thinking of you, caring about you, and praying for you. May God bring you comfort during this difficult time of loss
What a special, special person your husband and your father was. I admired him so for being so authentic He didn't just talk the talk, he walked the walk , and he did it beautifully. Because of his incredible talent and kindness,
He will live on in our hearts forever.
Peace, love, and hugs to you all
Linda

Dear Kaye, Kent & Shelley,
Bob and I send our sincerest condolences to you all. We only wish we were there to hug you in person.
David was a man truly touched by God and he had so much influence on us and our children.
Bob told Lorraine (almost 96!) about David’s passing. She was very sad to hear the news. She was always so glad to say she was on the Search Com. which brought him to FCC! Our love to all of you,
Bob & Polly

I am so very sorry for your loss, Kaye, Shelley, Kent and Arabella, but am also glad David is no longer suffering. It was very nice talking with you a couple of weeks ago. I do enjoy seeing posts about your family including the courageous ones posted the last few days. Hopefully, you and David were able to enjoy retirement during the brief time you had.
Love, Connie

Dear Kaye, Shelley, and Kent: Janie and I send our deepest prayers for you at David's death.
I greatly appreciated David's and my long-distance, occasional 'collaborations' about worship, hymns, or pieces he was or had written and shared. His music and words will surely live on - being played and sung far and wide.
Thank you for your consistent thoughtfulness in posting the updates on this site. Make time for each of you to rest and grieve and heal- together and in your individuals ways. God is with you.
SHALOM to you. Roger & Janie Dowdy
