Dear Bennett Family,
Our hearts are broken with yours, but we know we do not grieve as the world does and pray your immense loss and sadness will slowly transform into peace and thankfulness for the wonderful legacy left by your Dad, Husband, and Grandpa. It was my privilege to teach with dear Mr. Bennett for a few years and for Kathleen to have him for Jr. High History. We always loved his sense of humor, his patriotism, his love for Christ, and his plainspokenness. He blessed hundreds of kids’ lives with his detailed knowledge of history. With love and prayers, The Hartmanns— Allison, Jeff, and Kathleen

Even though it’s been along time since my kids (Daniel and Miranda Burke) attended Stoneybrooke I still remember him so well. Kind, patient, great teacher, great sense of humour but most of all a wonderful God loving man. I came to know the Lord through Stoneybrooke so I’m happy to know David is with our Lord Jesus as I type this note. Revelation 21:4

Our boys loved being in Mr. Bennett's class. They said he was tough, funny and loved to have personal conversations one on one. He was a gem! Much love from Chuck & Cynthia Williams, Chris, Clay and Casey.

The Milazzo family sends their prayers to Joyce and David's other family members. Mr. Bennett was one of our favorite teachers. His passion for teaching was clear to see. I especially remember how he made our girls' trips to D.C. so special - I don't think he ever got tired of taking the kiddos to see our Nation's capitol and seeing them enjoy such a special trip.

What a beautiful tribute to your Dad, Tom. David was an amazing man indeed. Our son Joe had him as his history teacher. We grieve and rejoice with you. You and your Mom and your family are in our hearts and prayers.

Tom, Erin, Joyce, and Family,
I am so very sorry to hear about Dave. I had not heard that he had been injured, and was taken aback with the news of his passing. Tom and Joyce, I have read each and every post, although belatedly, and your sincere words and raw emotions touched my heart. I so enjoyed my time working with Dave while I was at Stoneybrooke. And he was such a blessing to our family when my son was in his class. He had a unique understanding of my son's struggles and was such an encouragement to him. We we will always be thankful for the part he played in our children's lives. My prayers go up for you in your time of deep sadness. At the same time, as believers, we rejoice in the hope that is Christ!

Dear Tom and family,
Our hearts are deeply saddened at the news of Mr. Bennett's passing. Our son Henry was in his Jr High History class at Stoneybrooke. Henry
adored him, as we all did. He learned so much from him and to this day will cherish his memory and the love and respect with which he lived his life.
A class act, a true teacher and a love for history and for his students that will forever be unmatched.
We mourn with your family and hold you all in our prayers.
With much respect and admiration,
The Schreiner Family-John, Cathy Audrey and Henry
