Though I suffer the righteous knot of loss, I find joy and comfort knowing my friend, my brother in Christ (eternally so) has gone home victoriously and is in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This good and faithful servant has exemplified spiritual honor, integrity, brotherhood and love as an example to me and my family; and I know many others concur.
Joyce and Tom, as always you and yours remain in our prayers, as we look forward to the reunion when we will all join Dave at the banquet table. Finally, I would like to simply state that Dave is a patriot to his country as well as, and most importantly, to God the Father and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I just received your caring-bridge site from Tracy today snd started reading previous posts before this one so it’s the first I heard of my dear friend passing. I’m so broken-hearted though I know he is home. I’m so sorry for this loss for you snd your mom and everyone in your family. He was the best! I have videos of him teaching my Civil War unit and I was always in awe of his ability to retain the knowledge and engage the kids! He was such a beloved teacher and friend and I’ve missed seeing him since our move. It brings me peace and hope and joy to know that he’s entertaining many in heaven with his loving wise cracks! Good Good man, love you my friend!❤️❤️❤️

Tom and Joyce, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am at a loss for words, but for the fact he is with Jesus. And that is a beautiful picture.

We were deeply saddened to learn of your Dad's injury and now his passing to be with the Lord. We are grieving with you, dear Tom and Joyce and family. David was a great man with a good heart who served the Lord and his people with faithfulness and gladness. Always putting his family and friends first, strong and wise in giving instruction and guidance, compassionate and understanding in giving comfort and encouragement.
