I've got your two books and started reading them. Luminous is a luminous book! Not simply in Jesus and for Jesus, but with Jesus so as to participate in his person and work. Especially your pneumatology in the horizon of eschatology is also impressive and highly creative and constructive . And I feel as if I have a real and personal conversation with you! I pray to the Lord for you to win over the enemy of cancer! Dave, cheer up!
Heung-Gyu! What an amazing thing it is to hear from you! I am happy to hear you are serving as a senior pastor (and teaching). Being a pastor is such a walk of faith. I am fully convinced that God is doing a lot more in and through me as a pastor than he ever could have if I had remained in the academy. Maybe you’ve experienced the same thing.
Thank you so much for putting me on your daily prayer list. I am praying for you as I write this. I have never had to surrender to God in such radical ways. Cancer is horrible, but it also bears a remarkable set of gifts — or rather, God does remarkable things through it — if we are willing to give ourselves over more completely.
