12/10/2022 9am; Hello everyone, Merry Christmas! We celebrated Dave's birthday yesterday at lunch in Tulsa with his immediate family and a couple of photos are attached. My wife Connie was nursing fall allergy symptoms at home and could not make it. It has been 8mos since Dave's bike wreck and broken neck leaving him paralyzed below the chest. He has had the struggle of his life but has come out in true grit fashion. April, May & June were ICU and recovery here in Tulsa, then air flite to the renowned Craig Hospital, in the Denver area in early July. Craig specializes in spinal injury rehabilitation and therapy and he and Jeanie completed their program during July, August & September. Equipped with his new life skills, a motorized chair and a specialized van for the road, Jeanie, with Dave as passenger, drove the new van home in late September. Jeanie and Dave had made some renovations to their house and have been learning additional living skills and dealing with a few of Dave's continued health struggles in October & November, which brings us up to date. Most days Jeanie drops Dave off at his downtown Tulsa office for work which he is no doubt glad to be back to. They are an immensely strong couple and our hats are off to their perseverance, faith and love for one another. Times like this will certainly put one to the test and in my opinion, they are both at the top of their class. They extend their sincere thank you for your many, many prayers and loving support this year, they welcome your cards and good wishes and they send their Christmas greetings to you as well. They hope to reunite with each of you in the new year! My posts will continue to be infrequent now but I'm not signing out yet! Merry Christmas and thanks for following! hash
