So I will try to refrain from my typical nagging motherly advice but I do recall on Orcas this summer, you and Kristi hiked straight up Mt. Constitution with a cliff bar and a little water. We "sane ones" down by the lake were counting the hours when you returned... and of course, you did return. Keep hydrated! YOU especially!! (glad you got a new car out of all this)
Good golly, Dave! Thankful you made it through another wild adventure, also that your guardian angels can keep up with you. Sending love and hugs to you, Kristi, and your family. Glad you are enjoying your new ride.
Drinking a glass of water in your honor and toasting to your continued good health. So glad you dodged yet another tricky situation! Keep up the good work, stay healthy and I hope we can gather soon! Kevin and Tracy
OMG Dave...I'm SO glad you're ok. (My reaction on reading this was similar to Kristi's...). Thanks for sharing both the excellent news of the five-year mark and the warning to hydrate. Very grateful for seatbelts and robust vehicles. And I owe you an apology....a couple of weeks ago I was at the Skamania Lodge, a half hour from you, at a meeting.....I'm sorry I didn't make all the way out to see you. But I'm likely to be back in the area next summer, and will rent a car and come out your way....stay well. You remain an inspiration!
Oh my gosh, that must have been deeply scary in the moment of realization. Learning never seems to stop, and I'm pleased that you're continuing to learn how to give your body what it needs and that your reminder wasn't more harsh. I'm so glad that your 'accident' was relatively tame and you survived with minimal injury! You have so many people who care about you and celebrate the time they've been given with you. I count myself among them.
Wow, this is a lot of news. Thanks, Dave. I'm so glad that even the bad news turned out OK at the end of the story. But that sounds like it was really scary! And a hell of a method to get a new EV! We all know you are above average so no surprise you are in the advanced group! Keep doing what you're doing with a lot more water! I have had a similar reaction from being dehydrated...I'll tell you in person some time! Appreciate the update and sending good wishes for continued stable health.
Glad you're basically okay.
XO,
