Newest Update

Journal entry by Deb Brown

Dear Friends,

It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing this update. Dave passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon, here at home. The windows were wide open, the aspen leaves were dancing in the breeze and a big gust of wind came along. I believe he chose that moment to leave, since he always loved the wind and it made him feel alive. He is now free from all suffering and I know he is running (uphill!) in the clouds, with unlimited energy, stamina and joy.

Over the past several weeks, I have shared with him all of your very kind cards, texts, emails and postings here at CaringBridge and I know he deeply appreciated them all. He knew he was loved very much and also that he made a difference in people's lives. I think he was surprised to hear how much of an impact he had!

The past several months have been exceedingly hard and I don't think I would have made it through without the support, love and encouragement of everyone reading this: family, friends, and clients. The good folks at Mt. Evans Hospice helped to get us through these past few weeks. Thank you so much to ALL of you; and also for continuing to bolster us up as we grieve this difficult loss.

We will be having a Celebration of Life Ceremony at some point when coronavirus restrictions are loosened and we can all be together to commemorate Dave's remarkable life. I am hoping this will take place later this summer or early in the fall. Stay tuned for that info. I will also post an obituary here soon.

Love, Deb
