Welcome all friends, family and loved ones of Daryl Schorsten. In Spring 2023 Daryl was diagnosed with stage three gastric cancer. Daryl has received care from Ohio Health in Columbus OH and Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. He has undergone chemo therapy and most recently radiation. In July of 2023 Daryl had a promising scan at Mayo Clinic that pointed to a positive possibility for surgery removal of the tumor in the fall. He returned to Columbus to receive more chemotherapy before that surgery. In October 2023, Daryl returned to Mayo for his pre-surgery scans. Unfortunately, the scans came back with substantial growth of the existing gastric tumor as well as a mass development in the liver, leading to a stage four diagnosis. As we all know, Daryl Schorsten is a man full of love, joy and faith. We ask you to join us in prayer and encouragement for a radical healing of Daryl and the discernment of the medical staff. We have been blown away with the incredible care the team at Mayo has provided. He is in for a fight, we know he is one tough cookie and believe in his strength. Daryl has requested that his loved ones would share their favorite memory together, their most beloved part of Daryl and any words of encouragement they have for him. We are creating this to pour words of love and hope into Daryl but also provide updates as we receive them. We love you and thank you for your support.
