We are currently working with the David Walsh Cancer Center to hopefully get all of dads’ infusions, blood draws, and PICC care done. Our hope is to keep it close so mom and dad are not traveling to Denver 2-3x a week. Dad’s discharge from rehab was a bit of a cluster so now we’re having to move quickly- prayers for easy transfer of care are always welcome😉

As excited as we are to have dad home, he’s still at risk as his counts are low and it’s cold/flu season. We ask that there be no visitors this first 2 weeks so mom and dad can get settled and get good rest so they may continue to fight this overwhelming battle. After that time,  I will review his numbers and visit with his oncologist about more interaction. He may occasionally go out with my mom to run errands, manage appointments, etc., so you may see him out and about in his cute little mask 😷 but we ask to refrain from visiting the house just for now. Should you want to send a note or a card or a “ save the date for me” request when he’s off modified house arrest😁 I know they both would enjoy that. My mom has been faced with losing her partner of over 50 years. I know she would appreciate kind words also as this has been very surreal for her as well.
