Thank you Darlene for the update! You are strong and will continue to get through each challenge before you. A friend of mine has two Chuck Swindoll quotes that he kept close to him for much of his life and during his battle with cancer. One of them reads: “Nothing touches me that has not passed through the hands of my heavenly father. Nothing. Whatever occurs, God has sovereignly surveyed and approved. We may not know why, but we do know how our pain is no accident to him who guides our lives.” The other reads: “Everything I endure is designed to prepare me for serving others more affectively. Everything. Since my heavenly father is committed to shaping me into the image of his Son, He knows the ultimate value of this painful experience. It is been used to empty our hands of our own resources, our own sufficiency, and turn us back to Him-the faithful Provider. And God knows what will get through to us .” Praying for continued strength. Merrill
What amazing strength you are showing Darlene! You are in my prayers and wish that you recover from this surgery and healing phase soon. Best to you and your family.
I'm so impressed and inspired by your amazing attitude through all of this. We continue to pray for you and for a speedy recovery that hopefully brings you back LMC one day. As always, if you need anything just let us know!
Love the example of “long strides toward our destination to learn the lessons we’re supposed to learn.” You were my devotional reading for today:). We should be encouraging you, but as it turns out, you are encouraging us with your positive, genuine and grateful attitude. Praying for thorough healing and that you feel the love and support from SoCal!
